Durability and reliability are the most important characteristics one can look for in a valve. The ICV is created to handle the wide range of conditions different sites will bring, the valve includes both a fabric reinforced diaphragm and flow control as standard features, and can consistently withstand a pressure rating of up to 200 psi while handling the continual hammer that such forces will produce. The ICV is exceptionally easy to service, with bonnet fasteners that can be loosened and tightened using a variety of common contractor tools.

Dirt. It's a valve's biggest enemy. But aren't filters supposed to keep a valve dirt free? Well, most can keep out the big stuff, but what about the microscopic particles - like minerals and algae - that can build up on the diaphragm filter? After all, that's the kind of contamination that, over time, can lead to premature failure of the valve.

This is why Hunter developed a scouring mechanism that is continuously at work whenever the valve is operating. It's an option that is called Filter Sentry and when it comes to valve performance, there's no better way to stand guard over dirt.
